Almost all of my fiber comes from animal freindly farms that love their sheep/goats more than the money they can make by selling their fleeces. If the animals will wear a coat, they coat them but some of them are miserable wearing the coats so they don't force them.
My fibers have been washed, degreased, cleaned and picked as much as possible. You will find some VM in the loose fibers because they have not been carded. I limit it to as little as humanly possible but you WILL find some. Lhama and Alpaca tend to have less VM than most other breeds but they are also more expensive. The Suri is almost VM free as are the Crazy Batts.
